Person struck by vehicle in San Jose dies

A person dies after being hit by a vehicle.

The San Jose Police Department said on Thursday that the victim of the Tuesday crash had died.

There was a crash at 6:30 p.m. There was an accident in the area of North White Road and Kentridge Drive involving a car and a person. Police said that the man driving the Chevy was going north on North White Road when he hit the man standing in the bike lane.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead on Thursday.

Nine people have been killed in crashes in San Jose so far in the year 2023. The police said six of the victims were pedestrians.
